Aaron Rodgers may be well on his way to the Pittsburgh Steelers, as rumors surrounding the Green Bay Packers star have intensified. According to reports, there is a very real possibility of the veteran QB signing reaching a deal with the Steelers. The social media buzz surrounding Rodgers escalated when he was seen conversing with Steelers coach Mike Tomlin in October, fueling frantic fanfare concerning trades, free agency, contracts, and the like.

Rodgers has been having a great season, as he has recorded 2,878 pass yards on 373 attempts, and a completion rate of 66.2 percent. Adding on to his strong performance for the season, Rodgers has logged 23 touchdowns, all while dealing with a nasty toe injury—which he did not take time off for, by the way.

Shining some light on the situation surrounding Rodgers and the Steelers, Randy Oliver of Daily Snark explains:

The Steelers have Mason Rudolph next up, but his play on the field shows that he is not starting QB caliber in this league. Dwayne Haskins flamed out of Washington with his behavior and has yet to play a game for the Steelers, so the jury is still out on whether he could be the guy.

It would be the perfect fit for Rodgers to come and finish out his career in Pittsburgh while giving the franchise more time to find a younger replacement in the meantime.

As Aaron Rodgers enters the twilight of his career, whether his time on the Packers is coming to an end will remain to be a mystery. Despite this, the prospect of Rodgers in a Steelers jersey could be enough to satiate the cravings of even the most passionate of Pittsburgh supporters.
