The Pittsburgh Steelers head into the NFL offseason with some moves to make. The top priority for Pittsburgh is getting a deal done with running back Le'Veon Bell, but there are some things to address on the defensive side of the football.

Before the 2017 NFL season got underway, the Steelers brought in former Cleveland Browns star, Joe Haden. The team was impressed with what the veteran cornerback brought to the field this past season and want to retain him, but at a discount, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.

“They love Joe Haden, but sources said they can't retain him at $9 million (they'll try to bring him back at a lower number, I assume).”

The two-time Pro Bowler played 11 games for the Steelers during the 2017 campaign. Haden recorded one interception to go along with 18 tackles, one sack, and seven passes defended.

Although Haden isn't the player he once was during his prime with the Browns, the 28-year-old veteran does make the Steelers a better football team defensively and that's their biggest weakness at this point. Owner Art Rooney II recently made an interesting comment as he criticized the team's run defense in the harshest way possible.

As long as Haden agrees to pay cut and is interested saying with the team for next season, the Steelers could very well bring him back. However, it remains to be seen how they'll address their run defense as Rooney made it clear that aspect of the defense needs to be much improved in 2018.
