Did everyone remember there is a football game on in the middle of a Wednesday afternoon? The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers are finally squaring off at Heinz Field, though the circumstances are particularly grim for the Ravens. Baltimore entered the game short 23 players because of COVID-19.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson was among those forced to sit out the contest, resulting in Robert Griffin III getting the start under center. Things are not going great for the former Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Griffin committed turnovers on back-to-back possessions, one of which was an interception returned for a touchdown by Steelers cornerback Joe Haden:

The former Washington star actually started in Week 17 of the 2019 season, throwing for 96 yards and an interception in a Ravens win. But Griffin has played sparingly and become resigned to a backup role since his days in D.C.

Pittsburgh is trying to keep the depleted Ravens in the game, however.

The Steelers muffed a punt late in the first quarter, giving Baltimore possession in the red zone and offering Griffin and Co. a vital scoring opportunity.

Indeed, the Ravens converted on a Gus Edwards touchdown run, giving the team a 7-6 lead with just over two minutes to play in the first quarter. Grffin had an 11-yard scamper on the short scoring drive.

Although RGIII has already committed a pair of turnovers, Pittsburgh's own miscues have the Ravens in the lead. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger also has an interception, so there have already been four turnovers in this game.
