Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback Josh Dobbs is enjoying his off-season recently taking a ride in an F-16 fighter jet.

Dobbs posted a video to his Instagram showing him flying in the fighter jet and him experiencing a couple of flips while in it. Dobbs does have an aerospace engineering degree from the University of Tennessee and it wouldn't be a surprise once his NFL days are over to see him taking more trips in different kinds of planes.

Once Dobbs gets back to training camp, it's going to be all football and he has quite the battle on his hands. Dobbs is competing against Mason Rudolph for the main backup spot behind Ben Roethlisberger.

There is a lot of pressure on Dobbs to perform well during training camp and the preseason and the former Volunteers standout is just taking it one day at a time.

“My mindset is still the same – you still have to show up for work, compete on a day-to-day basis, figure out a way to get better, whether physically or mentality,” Dobbs recently told Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “Just continue to stack days. It’s the same mindset, no matter what the position is, no matter who is in the room.”

It's unclear if the Steelers plan on keeping three quarterbacks again this year, but if they don't that makes this preseason even more important for Dobbs. Dobbs would like to stay in the NFL longer and hold off on flying in more fighter jets for later in his life.
