The biggest move this offseason for the NBA involved All-Star forward LeBron James deciding to join the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year, $153 million deal that has quickly changed the landscape for the franchise.

Throughout this entire offseason process, Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has been making a public pitch for James to make the jump to the NFL. There was never truly any traction toward that coming to fruition, but Smith-Schuster has decided to go along with that narrative a bit longer during a recent interview stating it all a part of the plan to help convince James to go to the Lakers.

“That was my plan all along. Plan B could have been in Pittsburgh. I got him to come to LA. It's just big things. Big moves.

Through the last several months, there has been plenty of chatter surrounding James being interested in going to Los Angeles this offseason. The organization has made various moves over the last couple of years under the new management in the front office led by team president of basketball operations Magic Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka that have positioned them well to make a compelling case to the four-time NBA MVP.

That said, it was an entertaining storyline created by Smith-Schuster, who has become one of the most enticing follows on social media so far in his brief NFL career as this entire campaign he fueled himself.

It did at least spark up the hypothetical conversation concerning what James could have done in the NFL with his size and strength that could have allowed for him to potentially be a star wide receiver or tight end in the league.

Nonetheless, the arrival of James in Los Angeles has brought forth a huge level of excitement back to one of the most illustrious franchises in the NBA.
