It is time for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster to take the next step in his professional playing career. The former USC Trojans standout is slated to become the bonafide top option for veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in 2020. Off to quite the start in Week 1 against the New York Giants, Smith-Schuster is already on the board; he wasted no time in catching his first touchdown pass of the season on Monday evening.

With halftime now looming large, Smith-Schuster and the Steelers trail the pesky Giants by the score of 10-9.

Encountering some injury trouble last season, Smith-Schuster was unable to get things going in 2019 — especially after “Big Ben” also went down with some significant injury trouble of his own. However, both players are apparently healthy this time around as the presence of this duo on offense will be a major key for the Steelers if Pittsburgh is going to find any success at all in 2020.
