Since being drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 2009, Stephen Curry has appeared in five Christmas Day games. This year was no different as Steph and the Warriors traveled to Cleveland for their highly anticipated Finals rematch against LeBron James and the Cavaliers.

With his stellar career to date, including being named the back-to-back MVP, it's expected that Curry deliver on the national stage. However, that has not been the case as the 28-year-old point guard has struggled to produce his usual numbers for these Christmas Day matchups.

During the first half, Curry could not find his rhythm yet again, getting off to a very slow start with only two points. The three point specialist shot twice from beyond the arc, missing on both occasions.

Although he was able to knock-down some shots in the second half, he still did not shoot the ball well. Steph went 4-11 from the field, including 2-7 from three-point distance, finishing with just 15 points, 3 boards and 3 dimes.

As good as Steph has been in his first seven years in the league (with career averages of 22.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.8 steals in 34.9 minutes per game), Curry truly struggles on Christmas Day with only 11.8 points, including Sunday night's numbers.

The Warriors went on to lose the game, 109-108, in the first meeting between the bitter rivals teams since last season's finals series. They will take on each other once again on January 16th, when the Cavaliers travel to Oakland in their second and final matchup of the regular season.
