Golden State Warriors MVP Stephen Curry seems to still feel some affects of the Grade 1 MCL sprain he suffered in Game 4 versus the Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs.

The Warriors have since moved two rounds forward to the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. After a Game 1 107-102 loss to OKC, Curry was asked about his injured knee and if it was still a problem for him. According to Marcus Thompson II of The Mercury News, Curry's response was as you'd expect:

Curry still has pain, he said, but it's tolerable. It's not 100 percent… but it's good enough.”

Grade 1 sprains are projected to take a minimum two weeks to heal, and Curry had been resting the knee until he returned against the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 4 of the second round playoff series on May 9, just a few days over two weeks, and led the team in MVP fashion to a 132-125 victory before sealing the series in front of their home crowd in Game 5.

There was no indication of a knee problem in the initial Game 4 return as Curry posted 40 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists that game – and played more than his allotted 25 minutes – as if he were never gone.

After a few more days rest, and a bad shooting night in Game 1 of the Conference Finals, Curry has to find a way to get back into playoff mode because the Thunder will throw everything they have at him on both sides of the court.

Game 2 tips off Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
