The year 2016 has had some ups and downs for just about every NBA player, but for Stephen Curry, the highlight of his year was the ‘dad shoe' as he told reporters on Saturday.

“The highlight of my year was the ‘dad shoe,'” Curry told reporters, according to Connor LeTourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle. “I’m bringing it back. The most talked-about, straight-fire shoe of all-time.”

Curry is referring to his Under Armour Curry 2 Low Chef shoes that debuted through the Golden State Warriors‘ playoff run last season.

The shoes were the internet's laughing stock for the remainder of the postseason, making every meme possible for their simplicity and monochrome look resembling what a modern day dad would wear after work.

Another MVP season, an NBA-record winning season, All-Star honors and all that jazz fall short of his dad shoe. Sure, we'll take the bait, but please reconsider bringing back that shoe — after all, Under Armour has already lost enough money with them as it is.
