The 1995-96 Chicago Bulls didn't believe that anyone would ever top their historic 72-win season, but then the Golden State Warriors proved them wrong.

Winning an NBA record 73 wins last season, the 2015-16 Warriors are now viewed as the greatest regular season team in league history with that one extra win earned them that distinction over the Bulls. Now similar to the Bulls, Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry doesn't think any other team will ever surpass Golden State's record of 73 wins.

From Bleacher Report's Kevin Ding:

“If somebody else was going for it, I'd be like, ‘Yeah. I'd love to see somebody push it to 74,' Curry said. “I don't think it's possible, to be honest with you,” he said. “We had a lot of things go our way last year; we won a lot of close games. We just had it clicking, playing at that level for seven straight months. It was unbelievable.

“I don't think it's possible. Jordan and them probably said the same thing, but I don't think it's possible. We put ourselves in position to go for it, and we accomplished it, but I don't think it's possible for somebody to eclipse.”

Curry also talked at length to Ding about the mental and physical fatigue that went into the Warriors going for 73 wins, which he believes is why another team will never be able to win 74 games in a season. He may have a point, especially since the Warriors remained relatively healthy last season and everything just went their way.

But it is hard to say that no other team will ever win 73 or 74 games. Nobody thought that the Bulls' record of 72 wins would ever be broken, yet the Warriors did it. So as the Warriors showed, there is always a chance, albeit a small one, that another team could surpass Golden State's record.
