Game 2's matchup of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers did not disappoint — or not initially anyway. There were certainly apparent adjustments made to correct the mistakes in Game 1 from both teams, and they didn't come without their rewards.

The Cavs played much better than in Game 1, although the pace was still a bit high and it favored the Warriors' style of basketball. In the end, it was too much to sustain after a three-minute scoring drought in the third quarter, and the Cavs eventually succumbed, 113-132.

During the game, LeBron James played lights out as expected with his consistent bounce back Game 2's in the Finals. He tallied 27 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds – his eighth NBA Finals triple-double, tying Magic Johnson’s NBA record.

On the other end, Warriors star Stephen Curry also continued to lead the team in a forward charge and managed to grab his own triple double scoring 32 points with 10 rebounds and 11 assists.

After 47 years, a postseason game featured stars from opposite teams notching triple-doubles of their own. Both Lew Alcindor, now known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Walt Frazier finished with triple-doubles on April 13, 1970, with the Bucks center tallying 38 points, 23 rebounds, and 11 assists while the Knicks guard had 10 points to go along with 12 rebounds and 14 assists.

Without a doubt, this season has been filled with the makings of many historical records, and it looks like we aren't done yet.
