Steph Curry is a good sport.
After a disappointing NBA Finals, in which the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead to the Cavs with Curry’s poor play greatly contributing to the collapse, the two-time defending MVP has clearly been able to move on.
After winning an ESPY award for Best Record-Breaking Performance, Steph joked at the podium about how he wished he could have done it “when it mattered most.” Then at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Curry won the Most Clutch Player award and admitted on stage that he felt like he didn’t deserve it.
Curry is at it again, mocking his own antics during the Finals collapse at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship in Nevada.
Here’s what he did back in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, if you don’t remember:
It appears that Steph is already over last season. The signing of Kevin Durant probably helped some with that.
It’s a good look that may make Curry a little more likable, in that he is able to make fun of himself. Deep down, Steph is probably more driven than anything by his shortcomings in the Finals, and we all can expect him to come back next season with a vengeance.
