Opening night wasn't a typical game for Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry. He struggled shooting the entire game against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Curry finished the game with 21 points on 5-of-21 shooting.

Fortunately for the Dubs, the old saying of “strength in numbers” played a huge role in this game. It ended up being the main reason the Warriors got the victory. Winning a game with Curry struggling to score is a huge positive to take away.

“The fact that everybody who's on the floor contributed in a meaningful way speaks to our depth and how we want to play going forward. So I'm excited about that,” Curry told ClutchPoints.

Even though Curry's shot wasn't falling, he did everything else he could to get the win for the Warriors. He racked up 10 rebounds and 10 assists, giving him a triple-double. It was Curry's eighth triple-double of his career and his first since 2016 against the Indiana Pacers.

This opening night game was one of those times when you have a problem, but it's a good problem to have. Missing shots won't be a regular occurrence for Curry. But whenever that rare occasion does happen, his teammates are confident they can pick their superstar up. That trust could pay off big in the Warriors' future.

The Warriors' next game is Thursday at the Chase Center. They will be going up against the visiting Los Angeles Clippers. It will be another showdown between Pacific division teams. That matchup will be fast-paced, and it will likely include a better shooting performance from Stephen Curry.
