Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors received a curious letter from a young fan named Riley, just like his firstborn daughter, asking for the availability of his signature sneakers; the Under Armour Curry 5s, in women's sizes.

The heartfelt handwritten letter, which has since gone viral, was met with a handwritten response from the Warriors star himself, who claimed the lack of women's sizes was due to a mis-labeling in the official Under Armour website, where she originally intended to purchase it from.

After promising to correct the issue right away, the guard gifted Riley with a pair of Curry 5s while promising her she will be among the first kids to sport the Curry 6 signature sneakers once they are announced. The Warriors star also announced the Under Armour team had something special planned for International Women's Day on March 8, to which he would invite Riley to a home game against the Denver Nuggets.

Despite the clear desire to go out of his way to address this fan, the “mistake” of mislabeling smaller sizes is not actually true, as several retailers like Foot Locker, Finish Line, and the popular Eastbay have no semblance of women's shoes from the Curry signature line.

The Curry signature line does cater to boys, even boasting separate models for grade school and preschool — given that a large part of Curry's market is condensed to young kids that have grown up idolizing the nine-year marksman.

As for fulfilling his promise, the Under Armour website now has the Curry 5s included in the Kid's Basketball Shoes section, though not labeled as Girls' Basketball Shoes as the UA Lightning model or the UA Jet.
