Stephen Curry was once again in the middle of another dumb, unnecessary foul against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.

The Golden State Warriors point guard received a pass on the wing from Draymond Green and faked out Brandon Knight as he attempted to close in to his three-point shot. Knight jumped past his left side and Curry pulled the trigger as Knight once again attempted to block it from behind, knocking down the back-to-back MVP in the process.

The shot swished through the net as Curry fell to the hardwood, getting up right away and asking the referee for a foul as he shoved Knight out of bounds on his way back on defense.

Curry was immediately whistled for a foul as it happened right in front of the referee's eyes. This was the second of his three fouls on the first half, forcing head coach Steve Kerr to take him out during the last minute-and-a-half of the second quarter to avoid foul trouble.

While Knight did foul him on the play, referees hardly ever change a call after the fact, and even less if the player then commits a foul right in front of them.

The Warriors escaped with a 106-100 win. Stephen Curry has had a history of suffering through foul trouble last season and quite unnecessarily. Perhaps a little of Green's antics have been rubbing off on him, and not the good ones.
