Dell Curry, father of Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, wasn't too shy to slightly hurl his son under the figurative bus recently.

Mind you, it was nothing bad. Simply a little joke at the expense of his kid while discussing how own past as nearly being a Major League Baseball player.

From the San Francisco Chronicle:

“I’ve often wondered in hindsight how it would have been if I had tried to play baseball,” said Dell Curry, a one-time promising pitcher. “I thought I was a little better at baseball than basketball, but it worked out nonetheless.”

“High school, I just overpowered guys,” he said. “I could throw it pretty good. But in college, I learned how to throw a changeup, slider and a curve. I was OK. I could throw in the low 90s in college, a long, lanky guy with not much muscle.”

Dell goes on a bit about how, if he had more coaching and whatnot, things could have been different. That being said, you're not here for his story, you're here for the roasting of his son.

When asked about Stephen Curry — you know, his son — and if he could play baseball, Dell Curry responded in kind:

“Uh, no,” Dell said. “Steph played a little AAU baseball, and when he found out he couldn’t hit a curve ball, that’s when he took up golf.”

Zing!
