Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors rode a wave of hope heading into the season before Klay Thompson's injury delayed their resurgence for one more year.

Now, Curry finds himself in unfamiliar territory as the Warriors are clinging to a potential playoff ticket. In order for them to advance, they need to hurdle past the Play-In Tournament with the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers looming as their potential foes.

After the Warriors' Monday night win against the Utah Jazz, Curry spoke to reporters, sharing his mindset entering the next stage, via Marcus White of NBC Sports.

“We might have to channel some 2013, '14 kind of vibes. “We were just coming on the scene as the new, up-and-coming playoff-type team. I know we've been there. I can kind of remember what it's like when nobody's probably gonna pick you in the series and whatnot — we gotta get there first. We're not too far removed from that to not remember what it feels like and just come out swinging.”

Alongside Stephen Curry, the current Warriors players who were present during their 2013 and 2014 playoff runs are Draymond Green, Kent Bazemore, and Thompson. Championship experience will always be key but the underdog mentality from the team's up-and-coming days will be crucial this time.

A lot has changed since 2013-14. David Lee and Andrew Bogut were prominent figures in Golden State's scheme of things until Curry's emergence, sparking a dynamic change in how the game is played today.

The Warriors will pin their hopes on Curry sustaining his ridiculous level of play over the last couple of months in hopes of advancing past the Play-In phase.
