Since DeMarre Carroll‘s departure from the Toronto Raptors, he has continued to trash his former teammates for what he believed to be internal dysfunction.

Carroll's most recent comments went as far as stating that he's a much better fit with the Brooklyn Nets. In light of all of that, former NBA player Steven Jackson has given his two cents on the situation by thoroughly blasting the 30-year-old.

“DeMarre Carroll, why are you even talking? If anyone passes you the ball you should be happy. Play defense. You’re Bruce Bowen. Just go in the corner and shoot threes and be happy. You shouldn’t even have an input, you’re not good! You can shoot threes in the corner. He’s not good enough to have an opinion. He’s not. Everybody has a voice in the NBA now. He's not going to take a team to the playoffs. He's not a guy that shouldn't even start actually.

Although Jackson went quite a bit over the top with his own comments, he does hold a valid point. The chapter of his career with the Raptors is now in the past and his focus should be on how he could help the Nets make improvements next season with eyes toward reaching the playoffs for the first time three years.

Carroll can be a key part of that with Brooklyn as a supporting piece to the puzzle. He has carved out a solid NBA career behind his defense and 3-point shooting. In his first eight years in the league, he is averaging 8.1 points on 44.2 percent shooting from the field and 36.1 percent from beyond the arc.

At the very least, this continuous bashing from Carroll has created some interesting storylines for when the Nets and Raptors matchup next season.
