The Golden State Warriors received a major boost ahead of their Western Conference Finals series against the San Antonio Spurs, as their head coach attended his team's practice for the time since taking a leave.

Steve Kerr, who recently underwent a procedure on his spinal cord, has not been calling the plays for the Dubs since Game 3 of their opening round series against the Portland Tail Blazers. He reportedly joined the coaches' meeting on Friday and also watched film with them. Mike Brown talked about how happy he is to see him re-join the squad and also gave him credit for laying the foundation which made it possible for them to be this successful, via Chris Haynes of ESPN.

“For me, more than anything else, it was great to see him out here, especially during practice walking around, talking to guys. You really enjoy that because he's our leader. He's the guy that laid the foundation and got everybody headed in the right directions. And so the more he can be around, the better feel that all of us have … it was good to see him out here today.”

It still remains unclear when Kerr will be back on the sidelines during games, as he is still continuing to recover from his back condition. However, the Warriors have been consistent in saying he will return this postseason.

His presence might just be what the players need to give them extra motivation to play even better in the conference finals. Despite not being back to 100 percent yet, he made sure to still overlook the team's sets in order for them to be more effective against the Spurs. The Warriors' players may be inspired by that and could return the favor by winning the series and contend for another championship.
