After a fantastic year for the Golden State Warriors and starting forward Draymond Green, they had less than a fairytale ending to their story.

After being suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals after accumulating a number of flagrant fouls in the playoffs, Green's been involved in some disappointing incidents this summer, forcing him to apologize to his Team USA teammates twice.

Golden State head coach Steve Kerr spoke with ESPN Radio recently, and he doesn't seem to be moved by any of it.

“With Draymond he's obviously the one guy that sort of walks the line, tows the line.”

Green, having to deal with legal troubles and an internet scandal, is not new to the sometimes self-inflicted situations he finds himself in.

Kerr continued about his player:

“The thing with Draymond, and I learned this from [Michigan State coach] Tom Izzo … He said ‘Draymond is going to make you pull your hair out sometimes, but he's such a great guy and a team guy and he's got such a huge heart that he's always going to come back around.' He said, ‘The big thing with Draymond is challenge him and be up front with him. Don't be afraid to yell at him.' That's the way we've kind of approached it.”

Kerr expects Green to learn some lessons the hard way, but it's those times that he always comes back to the bigger picture and pulls himself back in line:

“Draymond and I, we've gotten into it many times … but there's never any lingering ill will. Bob and I try to keep the momentum going. Every once in a while there's a hiccup and we address it … but he always gets back on track.”

The Warriors are going to need Green back on track and focused on helping the team win another championship next season. Considering the amount of attention and trouble he has had to deal with this summer, coach Kerr expects nothing less than a complete bounce back.
