Although Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers expects Stephen Curry to return for Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Portland Trail Blazers, head coach Steve Kerr isn't so sure.

Kerr told Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News before Game 2:

“(Curry's) doing pretty well. … He's making the improvement that we're looking for. But he hasn't been on the floor with the team at this point. So hopefully that will come. I don't know when, though.”

Without the reigning MVP, the Warriors have still taken a 2-0 lead in their second round playoff series. Kerr likely sees no reason to rush Curry back into action like the first series.

He added about Curry's potential return:

“I literally have no idea. But … there is a nice gap in there and it would be great if he made enough progress to get on the floor with the team. But we'll just wait and see.”
