The Golden State Warriors played the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. While neither team ever really took control of the game, the Thunder were able to come back in the second half and hold off the Warriors late in the fourth quarter to take a big Game 1 win on the road 108-102.

After the game, Warriors' head coach Steve Kerr shared his thoughts on what happened that led to the first Warriors Game 1 loss with Kerr as head coach.

“Way too many quick shots. Five minutes left in the game and we’re down four and we’re acting like we have 20 seconds left,” Kerr said after the game.

Steph Curry echoed Kerr’s statements later, stating “We got rushed a little bit and tried to go for the home run plays.”

The quick shots weren't the only problem for the Warriors. After a first half full of turnovers by the Thunder, the Warriors returned the favor in the second half and ended up with three more than OKC.

After trailing by 13 heading into the second half, they outscored the Warriors by 10 in the third quarter and held them to only 14 points in the fourth. In a season that has been full of talk about the Warriors' small ball, the Thunder out-rebounded Golden State 52-44.

The Warriors lost only two games at home the entire season. Now that the Thunder have won Game 1 in Oakland, all the pressure shifts to the Warriors to win one at home. Game 2 will take place in Oakland on Wednesday 9:00pm (EST).
