The Golden State Warriors have aimed and hit on every free agency target they had locked into this offseason, between landing all of their returning players to scoring a couple additions to complement the roster needs.

With their roster set at 14 and already deep into the salary cap luxury tax books, one spot remains and spark plug JaVale McGee could be the one to get it.

McGee was adamant about wanting to return to the team following last month's championship, but has fielded offers from other teams, recently meeting with the L.A. Clippers last week.

Head coach Steve Kerr would like to have him back, but understands the free agency process involves him surveying the field offers and choosing what's best for him.

“I would love to have JaVale back,” said Kerr, according to Anthony Slater of the San Jose Mercury News. “We all want him back. But we’ll see how all that goes. He’s a free agent, he’s exploring his options. He was great for us last year, such a good teammate, high energy. But we’ll see.”

The Warriors can only offer the veteran's minimum of $2.3 million for their 15th and final roster spot, and are not sure if they will even make a signing at all. Golden State would pay nearly triple that amount when considering the luxury tax, but the organization has been more than willing to shell out the money to keep this core of players together.
