Tencent held a game conference this weekend, showcasing the new games they have in development for the fiscal year. The Chinese game development giant has been producing licensed games of some of gaming’s biggest titles. However, they're not just interested in the most hardcore and intense titles. Sometimes, they just want to chill out and develop games that are supposed to help players relax. With that in mind, Tencent presented the first-ever trailer for Story of Seasons Mobile during the conference. The officially licensed game by Marvelous Entertainment is under development by NExT Studios. And oh boy, is it looking really pretty so far.
Story of Seasons Mobile First Look Trailer
Thanks to the stress people go through every day, wholesome games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley become so popular. Now, stress-free games will have a new addition to mobile. Tencent recently released the first gameplay trailer for Story of Seasons Mobile, which is being developed by NExT Studio. First announced in 2019 by Marvelous, the game will be the first in the series to be released on mobile. The officially licensed game doesn't have a release date yet, however. Meanwhile, the game will most likely release first in China through a closed beta testing phase before reaching the West.
Story of Seasons Mobile looks amazing, even for a mobile game. Its graphics are on par with some of Story of Seasons‘ most recent titles on the Nintendo Switch.
Story of Seasons became the new name for the Harvest Moon franchise. Marvelous stopped licensing the development of Harvest Moon games to Natsume, and Natsume went on to use the Harvest Moon name in subsequent games. To prevent confusion, Marvelous decided to change the name of their own series to Story of Seasons. Regardless, fans still remain confused about the relationship between Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons.
