MI vs LSG, Brabourne Stadium. An unnecessary gimmick in the batting order cost Lucknow Super Giants a loss in the previous game. They should have learned their lesson now and won't be messing with the batting order again. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, are failing to fetch wickets early in the inning again and again. This is why MI lost five consecutive matches despite scoring big totals. The absence of a powerplay specialist bowler is taking a heavy toll on the MI team.

A few changes are expected in the MI squad. Fabian Allen or Tim David may come in for Thampi or Unadkat. Dewald Brevis is performing exceptionally well for MI. The same goes for Varma and SKY. Rohit has failed to play big innings. Kishan is struggling too. MI has more of a bowling problem than a batting problem. Unfortunately, Bumrah has no other support bowler who can take wickets. There were Boult, McCleneghan, Johnson, and Malinga in the previous seasons. But Unadkat and Mills are not able to take wickets. Fabian Allen can bowl left-arm orthodox and can bat too. The same goes for Tim David and Dewald Brevis. But none of them are proper bowlers. So, the issue stays unsolved.

Marcus Stoinis will be claiming his number 3 position after the blunder by the team management. Stoinis is the highest wicket-taker among the current LSG squad against the MI. But it is doubtful that he will bowl four overs. Because there are plenty of in-form bowlers performing well. Q de Kock and K Pandya will be playing against their ex-team now. It will be interesting to see Q de Kock's approach against MI.
