The 2022 Summer League is in action and it will showcase the rematch of the 2022 NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors. It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Celtics-Warriors prediction and pick.

This Finals rematch clearly won't have the same players, nor the hype, but it will definitely still have the same intensity. The Celtics are fresh off of a last-second win over the Milwaukee Bucks 111-109 Monday night in Las Vegas. Celtics forward Matt Ryan drilled the game-winning three as time expired but unfortunately rolled his ankle in the process. He finished with 23 points in the win and was emotional after the victory. The Celtics are now (1-1).

The defending Champs are also (1-1) after beating the San Antonio Spurs 86-85 on Sunday night. Jonathan Kuminga scored 28 points in the win and proved his worth to this organization. With a day's rest, the Dubs should be fresh to compete with the Celtics on Tuesday night.

Why The Celtics Could Cover The Spread

Summer league isn't easy to bet on but one thing is for sure, is that you are going to see a lot of hustle. These players are looking to earn a spot on the main roster and for this Celtics team, they have to fight even harder. After acquiring some assets in the offseason and improving the roster, the Celtics are primed for another chance at a Finals appearance. The roster currently has about 9-10 guys that are set on playing. That leaves 4-5 spots open for these players to earn a shot at making the team.

With that said, you will need to keep an eye on Sam Hauser, JD Davison, Brodric Thomas, and of course, Matt Ryan. Those four have a legit shot at making the final roster. Davison was the second-round selection by the Celtics in this past draft and recently signed a 2-way contract that allows him to play in the G-league. Hauser and Ryan were on the Celtics roster last season helping the team during its finals run.

Ryan will likely miss some time with his ankle injury, but if the other three step up and play well then this team will have a shot at covering this spread.

Why The Warriors Could Cover The Spread

The Warriors have a stacked roster and will have some limited roster spots available. It's nice to see James Wiseman back in the lineup and playing after missing a majority of last season. Kuminga played very well in the win over the Spurs and should continue that again tonight.

Another name to pay attention to is Max McClung. The former Red Raider is trying to find a permanent home and hopes that it will be this Warriors team. He notched 22 in the win two nights ago while also rebounding five and assisting on six baskets. He played a great all-around game and should be a factor again against the Celtics.

Look for those three players to be the main source of offense tonight. Even though Marcus Smart isn't suiting up, that doesn't mean this Celtics team won't defend very hard. Expect it to be a low-scoring affair as there won't be many easy baskets.

Final Celtics-Warriors Prediction & Pick

The Warriors are the favorite and while they might be the right call, I think this game will end closer than seven points. Take the Celtics to cover this spread as they will fight to keep this one close.

Final Celtics-Warriors Prediction & Pick: Celtics +6.5 (-112)
