Just three games into the 2017-18 campaign, the Phoenix Suns decided to pull the plug on head coach Earl Watson on Monday, which has drawn plenty of reaction in and around the league.

Among those was former longtime San Antonio Spurs forward Bruce Bowen, who took to Instagram to voice his support for his former colleague in hopes that he gets another chance to coach in the NBA.

Watson didn't have the Suns head coaching gig for much time as he had been named the interim coach after Jeff Hornacek was fired and was given the job for the 2016-17 campaign. That said, the Suns had a 33-85 record with Watson at the helm, which saw the team finish with a 24-58 record last year.

However, Phoenix struggled out of the gate this season, as they have dropped their first three games while giving up a league-worst 128.7 points per game. This includes suffering a franchise-worst 48-point blowout loss in the season opener against the Portland Trail Blazers while surrendering more than 120 points in each game.

It may have been quite early for the Suns to part ways with Watson, but it was something that had the feeling that could lead to the season going south quickly.

Bowen's reaction comes shortly after second-year guard Devin Booker stated on Monday that he thought the team moved on too quickly from the 38-year-old coach.
