Devin Booker is headed to his first-ever playoffs after the Phoenix Suns finally clinched a playoff spot with a win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. Sure enough, it was Chris Paul who was first to congratulate Booker's upcoming playoff debut as Phoenix continues their impressive 2020-21 campaign.

“I'm happy for him cause he deserves it,” Paul said after the Suns' huge 109-101 win. “Sometimes in this league, the casual fan don't get a chance to appreciate somebody's greatness and Devin is a guy who's been doing it on a nightly basis. I'm just happy that the world is finally getting to see him.”

Booker has been a walking bucket for Phoenix ever since he came out of his shell in his second year in the league back in 2016. Since then, the 24-year-old has worked on his game and has shown drastic improvement year on year. Including this season, Booker has been averaging at least 22-plus points per game for the past five campaigns as the Suns' number one option, and it seems that he's poised to make a huge splash in his playoff debut.

“I'm grateful that he trusted me to come here and play alongside him. Our team won't be where we are without him and his willingness to fight every day and his selflessness.” Paul added.

It's no question that a guy like Chris Paul has unlocked something within Devin Booker. This amazing backcourt duo has now brought the Suns back to the playoffs for the first time since 2010
