The Phoenix Suns set a franchise record with their 114-103 win over the Detroit Pistons, their 18th win in a row. Suns guard Chris Paul had the perfect reaction to the record-setting win.

“But for us I think it's always about the feeling of making sure we're playing the game the right way,” Paul said. “We always talk about we have a standard. We say this every night and a win is a win but we feel like we could have played better.”

That is the exact reaction that Suns fans would expect to hear from Chris Paul. Paul took the time to commend the Suns for their team accomplishment but made sure to let everyone know that Phoenix wouldn't be resting on their laurels after the historic night.

Not only that, but Paul feels that the Suns could have played better! Now that's a leader.

Paul, who has provided steady play and veteran leadership from the moment he put on the Suns uniform, echoed the sentiments of head coach Monty Williams.

Williams was careful not to bring it up as the Suns were approaching it, but the coach noted how cool it was to set that record, especially with such a key player, Devin Booker, sidelined. Part of the reason why the Suns were able to succeed without Booker was due to the efforts of Paul.

The veteran guard provided his usual two-way production, handing out 12 assists while swiping a couple of steals in the victory, which exceeded the franchise's previous record of 17 wins set by the 2006-07 Phoenix team.

It's an impressive accomplishment for the Suns. But take it from Chris Paul. Phoenix still isn't satisfied.
