Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul is undoubtedly one of the best players to ever step on the NBA hardwood. With that said, he definitely has a strong case to make the NBA's Top 75 greatest players list.

The NBA is gearing up to celebrate its 75th anniversary, and as part of the festivities, Adam Silver and Co. are already in the process of selecting the top 75  players in the history of the NBA–much like what the NBA did in it's 50th anniversary celebration. As the NBA announced, a “blue-ribbon panel of media, current and former players, coaches, general managers, and team executives will select a new 75th Anniversary Team.”

Now, when asked about the possibility of being part of the 75th Anniversary Team, Paul couldn't hold back his excitement as he highlighted how huge it would be for him.

“Ah man, it would mean a lot,” the Suns superstar said, per Duane Rankin of AZ Central. “It would mean a lot.”

Chris Paul also shared what he remembers about the 50th anniversary celebration of the NBA and how he watched all the great players walk out with their jackets during the 1997 All-Star Game.

I remember watching that All-Star Game and seeing the 50 greatest walk out with their jackets on and all that. So being a student of the game, yeah, it would mean a lot,” the Suns guard added.

It remains to be seen if Chris Paul will officially be part of the list, but fans will not have to wait for long since the league is planning to announce the selection some time this October.

While Paul is yet to win a championship, his contributions to growing the game have been massive. Not to mention that he is considered the greatest point guard of his generation as he enters his 17th year in the NBA.
