Ladies and gentlemen, the Point God has arrived. Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul made history in their series-clinching Game 6 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday.

The 36-year-old veteran delivered 33 points, eight rebounds, and five assists while shooting 100% from the field on 14 shots.

Per the NBA, Paul is the first player ever to achieve 100% shooting in a postseason game on 13 or more shots.

“We needed it,” Paul said. “Coming out the third quarter I saw the way the game was going, I think we was down 10, so I had to force the issue.”

CP3 added that he didn't realize he was perfect from the field until halftime. In the locker room at the break, he knew he needed to take more shots with the Suns down 10 points.

“I think Chris did something historical tonight in a closeout game,” Suns coach Monty Williams said. “We needed it. When you win and he does that in a closeout game, that's special.”

Paul's teammates can relax knowing the ball will go to the right place at the right time when he's on the court. Especially in a series where the Suns were challenged, the All-Star PG came out right when he was needed.

“Nobody has seen this, 14-for-14, that's a first time for all of us,” Devin Booker said. “It gives you the utmost confidence playing alongside him. Knowing he's going to take care of the ball, knowing the ball is going to find the right person on time, on target. So that's a lot of confidence. Especially down the stretch when it's a close game.”
