Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul stunk it up in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks, and his awful turnover in the final minute helped seal the deal. Paul literally just fell down and fumbled the ball away with the Suns down two points, leading to a Jrue Holiday steal and Khris Middleton bucket on the other end.

It wasn't pretty:

It was Paul's fifth turnover of the night (he had another really bad one minutes earlier), which was party of an uncharacteristically sloppy effort by Phoenix. The Suns had 17 turnovers to just five for the Bucks, which helped Milwaukee get up 19 more shot attempts. That's how the Bucks won a game while barely shooting 40% while Phoenix shot over 51%.

After the game, CP3 took full responsibility for literally fumbling the game away. It was the right thing to do, and he noted how he needs to be better with the ball in his hands.

Via ESPN's Dave McMenamin:

“It was me,” Paul said, copping to the reason Phoenix had 17 turnovers as a team compared to just five for Milwaukee. “I had five of them. It was bad decision-making.”

“They got a significant amount more shots than us, so for me I got to take care of the ball,” Paul continued. “We got 17 turnovers, we shoot the ball too well not to have those opportunities to score.”

Suns head coach Monty Williams just chalked it up to one of those nights. Chris Paul has been phenomenal throughout these playoffs, so it's hard to get too down on him. But this poor performance came at the worst possible time in a game Phoenix really should have won given Milwaukee's poor shooting. Given some of CP3's playoff failures in the past, the hope is this doesn't snowball into a total collapse.

Luckily, the Suns have home-court advantage as this series turns into a best-of-three. Phoenix can take control back on Saturday.
