Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul, either inadvertently or on purpose, just took a rather brutal shot at Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and his free throw shooting.

After the Suns let Game 5 slip away and allowed the Bucks to take a 3-2 lead in the NBA Finals series, Paul was asked what they need to improve to beat Milwaukee. According to CP3, they first need to control the rebounds after the free throws, especially from the misses of Antetokounmpo.

“Everybody is anticipating him to miss, even him,” Paul said in a rather harsh remark for Giannis, per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

To be fair, Giannis Antetokounmpo is not a great free throw shooter, making only 68.5 percent of his freebies during the 2020-21 regular season. Moreover, during Saturday's showdown, he went 4-of-11 from the charity stripe.

Nonetheless, Chris Paul and the Suns should not be too complacent and expect Giannis to always miss. While he may be inconsistent, he did go 11-of-18 and 13-of-17 in his free throws in Games 3 and 4, respectively.

Also, it is not only Giannis the Suns have to be worried about. As seen in Game 5, Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton are equally dangerous as the Greek Freak if left unattended. The trio combined for 88 points to repel Phoenix and get the opportunity to close things out at home.
