Based on the first round of votes for the upcoming All-Star game, Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker currently ranks sixth among Western Conference guards. The 24-year-old isn't a shoo-in for the squad at this point, which according to teammate Chris Paul, is a bit of a travesty.

Paul described Booker's All-Star bid using just one word: “no-brainer”. This comes via Gerald Bourget of Fansided:

It's hard to argue against Paul here, considering how Booker has been outstanding for the Suns this term. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is currently averaging 23.8 points (on 48.1 percent shooting), 3.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.0 steals, while also connecting on 2.2 triples per game on a 35.5-percent clip.

Booker has seen a bit of a dip in his production this year compared to seasons past, but he appears to be heating up again of late. He amassed a total of 66 points in Phoenix's past two games, which were both wins.

It is also worth noting that Paul himself has been tremendous for the Suns this term. So much so, that the veteran has been voted seventh among West guards in the first round of All-Star ballots — just one spot behind his superstar teammate.

Paul, who joined the Suns in the offseason via a trade deal, has been excellent so far. He's played a pivotal role for the Suns, and he's been a huge reason why Phoenix is currently sitting at the fourth spot in the West with a 16-9 record.

At this point, it would not be improbable to think that Phoenix's backcourt duo could both be on their way to the All-Star game.
