Dario Saric has managed to stay remarkably healthy both this season and throughout his career. However, the Croatian big man will miss his first game in 2019-20 after suffering a sprained ankle in the Phoenix Suns' game on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Per Gina Mizell of The Athletic, Saric is not with the team on their current three-game road trip. Fellow Suns big men Aron Baynes, Frank Kaminsky, and rookie guard Cameron johnson are all with the team on the trip.

In three and a half seasons and 294 possible games, Saric has missed just seven, and has played at least 78 games in each of his three seasons.

In his first run with the Suns, the 6-foot-10 power forward has started 43 of Phoenix's 48 games and has averaged 9.6 points and 6.0 rebounds nightly while shooting 44.2 percent from the field and 31.4 percent from deep.

And while Saric has started the majority of the Suns' games this season, the 25-year-old is playing only 22.4 minutes per game.

In Friday's game, Dario Saric played just four minutes before leaving the contest. In those minutes, Saric scored two points.

With much of the Suns frontcourt injured or questionable to play, Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges, and Cheick Diallo should all receive additional playing time and increased roles.

Overall, it has been more of the same for Phoenix. After a hot start, the Suns sit at 20-28 on the season. Considering the team won just 19 games in 2018-19, the improvement is clearly there. However, Phoenix is still in 11th place in the Western Conference and are 3.5 games out of playoff contention.
