Devin Booker just threw in his Dunk of the Year entry with a vicious tomahawk jam on Friday as the Phoenix Suns took on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Devin Booker created a clear path to the basket for himself, which resulted in this eye-popping poster slam (h/t Bleacher Report on Twitter):

Wow. Devin Booker elevated for that one and he punished the rim with that insane jam.

In case you missed the commentary, the play-by-play announcer mentioned that that dunk was a Top Shot candidate. If you require context for that comment then you're missing out on what has emerged as the biggest craze on the internet right now. Michael Jordan and Luka Doncic — among others — seem to think so.

Now getting back to the dunk. One of the best bits of the play is how Suns teammate Deandre Ayton reacted on the bench. Ayton saw the whole thing coming and he quickly rose from his seat as soon as he knew what was about to go down. His reaction after the slam was priceless:

The Suns remain to be one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now. They lost just three out of their 14 games in March, and they came into Friday's bout against the Thunder behind a four-game winning streak. Booker has been the driving force for the Suns' success this year. He's averaging 25.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.

Needless to say, this has been thanks in large part to Devin Booker and plays like these.
