The Phoenix Suns are up 2-0 against the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Finals, and Devin Booker and Chris Paul have been the reason for that. However, the two made it clear they are just a small part of the equation.

After the Suns made sure to protect their homecourt advantage behind Booker's 31 points and Paul's 23 in Game 2, the Phoenix leaders deflected the credit on their teammates who have been  sensational as well.

“That's just team basketball,” Devin Booker said of the Suns' depth, per Basketball News. “It's not just me, it's 1-through-5. It's all the collective group, it's team basketball and that's why I feel like we have been successful for most of the year… That's all of us. Everybody can play. Everybody's hoopers. Even the guys that aren't playing [for us] can play on any other team and are still a big part of how we continue to grow, how we continue to get better.”

As for Chris Paul, he specifically highlighted the fact that the Suns have “real shooters” on their roster. Phoenix showed just that in Game 2, during which Mikal Bridges banked 27 points, while Jae Crowder, Cameron Johnson and Torrey Craig combined for 7-of-12 shooting from 3-point territory.

“With our team, we got shooters. Like, real shooters,” Paul shared. “And I say this all the time, it's nice when you kick it to the guy and you expect him to make it. Like, I get mad at some of these guys when they miss it. They miss it and I'm like, ‘Come on man, you don't miss that in practice!' And it's different, too, when you know the work that they put in. When shootaround is over, practice is over, everybody's still in there shooting. So, that's the trust that you build because you know the guys put in the work.”

A lot has been said about the Suns' depth heading into the NBA Finals. After all, when compared to the Bucks on paper, it looks like Milwaukee is the better and deeper team. Nonetheless, Phoenix is proving that notion wrong as they continue to dominate in the series.

It remains to be seen if the Suns can keep the momentum going in their favor as the series shifts to Milwaukee, but is sure looks like the team is growing more and more confident as the role players behind Book and CP3 thrive under the pressure and massive spotlight.
