The Phoenix Suns have no shortage of great players like Charles Barkely and Steve Nash who have suited up for the franchise in its long history. However, none of those players were able to step foot on the territory that Devin Booker just reached.

On Wednesday against the Utah Jazz, Booker exploded for 43 points to lead the Suns to a 105-97 victory. He went off right in the first quarter with 21 points, outscoring the whole Jazz franchise who made just 18 points in the period.

Now, according to the Suns, Booker has set the franchise record for most 40-point games in team history. He increased his tally to 16, breaking the tie with Amar'e Stoudemire. For those curious, Nash has just two of such games, while Barkley has three, via Stat Muse.

Although the Jazz tried to come back from the early hole that Devin Booker dug for them, they were simply unable to limit the sharpshooter from his scoring exploits.

While such insane numbers is no longer surprising from Booker, who has drawn comparisons to Kobe Bryant for his ability to score, it should be remembered that he is just 25 years old.

Considering the way he is playing, it is safe to assume that Booker is well on track to become the greatest scorer in Suns history.
