The Phoenix Suns just suffered a huge blow.

Star shooting guard Devin Booker is expected to miss about three weeks with a left adductor strain, per Adrian Wojnarowksi of ESPN.

This could not come at a worse time for the phenom. He just finished putting up 46 on the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, and dropped 38 on the Boston Celtics just two days prior.

Booker appeared to suffer the injury in the final three minutes of Tuesday's game against the Raptors. He was playing defense on an opposing Raptors guard when it appeared he had injured a thigh.

While two-to-three weeks doesn't sound like a long time, it represents roughly 10-15 games. The Suns, although near the bottom of the Western Conference at 9-17, have a promising future with Booker as their main threat.

Booker will now have to put on hold what was shaping up to be a stellar season for the third-year guard. And the Suns will have to put their development as a team on hold as well.

Booker is averaging 24.3 points, 4.5 rebound and 4.1 assists, all career highs.

Booker is not the only one to strain his left adductor this season. New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis also suffered the injury earlier this year.
