The Phoenix Suns take on the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday at Staples Center and star shooting guard Devin Booker is expected to play after going through practice on Saturday.

Booker didn't play against the Orlando Magic on Friday due to a left toe injury. The 22-year-old hurt his toe by stubbing it on the bed of his hotel in Los Angeles earlier this week. The toe turned black and blood needed to be drained from it.

In 18 games this season, Devin Booker is averaging 24.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game while shooting 44.0 percent from the field, 31.7 percent from beyond the arc and 84.2 percent from the free-throw line. The Suns are 4-18 on the season, 15th place in the Western Conference.

Phoenix is currently on a four-game losing streak. It's another rebuilding year for the Suns. The team doesn't have enough talent to win games in the Western Conference.

No. 1 overall pick Deandre Ayton has gotten off to a good start, as the 20-year-old is averaging 16.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. The Suns are hoping that Ayton and Booker will be the cornerstones of the franchise for the next decade and lead the team to the playoffs. Phoenix hasn't made the postseason since 2010.
