Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker and Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell both say that you can't talk basketball with everyone.

With analytics taking over basketball, the war between eye-test metric versus stats people has ramped up lately, and many players aren't fans of the way some people talk and cover the sport.

There's an old saying from players that if you didn't play competitive basketball or can't hit a left-hand layup, you can't talk about basketball. Clearly, that's not going to stop people on the internet or Twitter from talking about hoops, but it's evident that a lot of players in the league are getting tired of random people voicing their opinions about a sport they have been playing and mastering for years.

Both Devin Booker and Donovan Mitchell are off to solid individual starts this season, but their respective teams are struggling. In 11 games, Booker is averaging 23.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.9 assists. The Suns, however, are just 3-11. Mitchell is putting up 20.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists, but the Jazz are 7-7 and scored only 68 points against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.

Devin Booker and the Suns aren't expected to contend for a playoff spot this season. The organization is still in rebuild mode. The Jazz, however, were picked by many to be a dark-horse team in the West after Utah made it to the second round of the playoffs last season. Donovan Mitchell and the Jazz need to picks things up in a hurry. Getting in hole in the Western Conference standings is not an easy one to climb out of.
