Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker is on the wrong end of history on Saturday after the Milwaukee Bucks won Game 5 of the NBA Finals. However, it is not for playing so bad.

In fact, Booker's unwanted history came because he played so well in a losing effort for the Suns.

According to Stat Muse, Booker is the first player in NBA Finals history to have consecutive 40-point games and lose both times. The 24-year-old scorer had 42 points in Game 4 before exploding for 40 on 17-of-33 shooting in Game 5.

That is certain frustrating for Devin Booker, though the Suns cannot blame anyone but themselves in their latest failure. The team actually led by 16 points at the end of the first quarter, but they seemed to be too complacent in the second and allowed Milwaukee to stage a comeback.

Of course, the Bucks took full advantage of the opportunity to take the lead. While the Suns had a late rally behind Booker, it was too little, too late.

To add insult to Devin's injury, he made the biggest mistake of the night when he turned the ball over in the final 20 seconds with the Bucks leading by just one, 120-119. Jrue Holiday stripped the ball from Book and went on to lob the ball to Giannis Antetokounmpo for the and-1 and the victory.

It was undoubtedly a painful night for Booker. However, he and the Suns can't think too much about their epic fail, as they need to focus on Game 6 where they will fight to live another day.
