Phoenix Suns legend Steve Nash, just like pretty much every basketball fan, is a huge supporter of All-Star shooting guard Devin Booker.

Nash, who won two MVPs with the Suns, said Booker is “poetry in motion.”

Booker has established himself as one of the best scorers in the game. So far this season for the Suns, he’s averaging 26.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game while shooting 48.9 percent from the field, 36.2 percent from beyond the arc and an impressive 91.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Booker scored a whopping 70 points during the 2016-17 season against the Boston Celtics. Former NBA point guard Jameer Nelson said this past summer that Booker reminded him of a young Kobe Bryant.

Phoenix has been a walking disaster for years since Steve Nash left. They haven’t made the playoffs since 2010. With that said, it’s up to Kelly Oubre Jr., Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton to turn the team around. It’s not going to be easy, though, since the Western Conference is tough as nails.

The Suns aren’t expected to compete for a playoff spot this season with the campaign almost over. The only big move they made in free agency this past summer was signing veteran point guard Ricky Rubio, although some might say the hiring of head coach Monty Williams was a step in the right direction.

Booker has career NBA averages of 22.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists. Hopefully, the Suns can make the playoffs next season so fans around the world can watch Booker compete on the NBA's brightest stage.

Nash was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018. He finished his legendary career with averages of 14.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 8.5 assists.
