Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker is the latest cover athlete of NBA 2K23.

One of the most well-known basketball video game series' next releases is getting closer. Given that the 2021–22 NBA season just ended a little over a month ago, this is the ideal moment to release the game. Strike whilst the iron is still hot, after all.

Fans will be able to see some new NBA cover athletes as this new iteration of the NBA 2K franchise is released. For this edition, Suns star guard Devin Booker has been given the chance to grace the cover.

The 25-year-old will serve as the game's cover athlete for the standard edition of NBA 2K23. As for the limited edition, it will be none other than His Airness and the GOAT himself, Michael Jordan.

When Booker first saw supposed leaks of the cover on social media, his reaction was as candid as a kid getting his long-awaited Christmas present.

On the flip side, though, a number of fans initially opposed this choice. They simply didn't think Devin Booker was the most deserving player to go on the 2K23 cover. Maybe Ja Morant? How about MVP Nikola Jokic? Joel Embiid? A re-do for Steph Curry?

The fans love the art. It is fantastic. But it's also possible that the supposed leak being shared right now is actually fan art. Regardless, basketball fans can't wait for the game and to see the Booker cover in reality.

Devin Booker is coming off a great season where he helped lead the Suns to the best record in the NBA. He averaged career-highs in points, rebounds, and steals per game while also shooting a career-best 38.3 percent from beyond the arc.

He also just signed a $214 million max extension with the Suns.
