Having played with Josh Jackson since the start of the season, Devin Booker has seen first hand how good he is as a player during practices and games. He is impressed with what he has seen from him so far and knows that the former Kansas star will only get better in the future.

When asked recently on Twitter how far he thinks Jackson will reach in his professional career, the third-year guard shared that the ceiling is the limit for him.

Booker’s high praise only goes to show that he has high hopes for the rookie and that he can be one of the Suns’ cornerstones — along with him — for the coming seasons. The Suns are banking on the youth movement in their roster to help them rebuild and become a contender once their current group has gained enough experience and with the possible addition of a few more key pieces to their fold.

Through 41 games so far this season, Jackson is averaging solid numbers of 9.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals in 21.9 minutes. After getting selected fourth overall in last June’s draft, there may be others that believe he is underperforming, but given the playing time and the stacked small forward rotation the Suns have, he is more than producing decent numbers for them and has been able to showcase his impressive skill set.

With more games under his belt, it can be expected that Jackson will only get better and should live up to expectations, including Booker’s. Once he has a deeper understanding of his role and adjusts to the demands of an NBA season, the 6-foot-8 forward could become the perfect complimentary player to their budding star and form one of the better duos in the league in the coming years.
