Just a week ago, Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker was making plans on where to spend the weekend as he wasn't a participant in the All-Star Game. However, a sudden Damian Lillard injury saw a spot open up for him at Sunday's game.

The media surrounded the first-time All-Star during his media availability on Saturday, ahead of the All-Star Game. Interestingly, it appears he was hesitant at first to accept the invitation as a replacement for Dame and fully recognize himself as an All-Star since he didn't make the game the traditional way.

Booker did note that Lillard himself also got his first All-Star nod as an injury replacement, and he mentioned Carmelo Anthony encouraging him. Everyone around him pushed him to disregard his competitive fire and be thankful that he's now an All-Star, which is something he has now warmed up to.

Before the replacement, it's common knowledge to everyone that Booker was one of the biggest snubs of the All-Star Game. After all, he's averaging 26.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists while shooting an incredible 49.6 percent shooting clip.

While the Suns are struggling to even contend for a playoff spot in the Western Conference, Booker is doing everything he can to help the team make their first postseason in a while.

The All-Star game will be a great pick-me-up for Devin Booker, as he plays with some of the best in the league. Hopefully, this will recharge the Suns star enough to make an incredible push through the second half of the season.
