Phoenix Suns point guard Devin Booker hasn't been in a really good situation since entering the NBA back in 2015. In his first four years in the league, his team has been stuck at the bottom of the standings and hasn't really been competitive. Sometimes, he dreams of having some kind of help — an All-Star type of help.

In an interview with Dave King of SB Nation, Booker said that he'd love to have the chance to play with good friend D'Angelo Russell. However, he also understands that the Suns and the Golden State Warriors are in complete opposite situations right now.

“Obviously, when you have that chance of playing with a life long friend it would be a great opportunity,” Booker said on possibly playing with Russell in the future. “But I think he’s in a good situation now with the Warriors.”

The Suns are expected to be at the bottom of the Western Conference once again, while the Warriors — although obviously weakened by the departure of Kevin Durant — remain playoff contenders.

Moreover, both Devin Booker and D'Angelo Russell are tied to long-term deals with their respective teams. Booker just signed a five-year deal last year to remain with the Suns, while Russell agreed to a four-year deal with the Warriors.

At this point, it seems that their only chance of playing together is if both their teams decide to trade them to a specific franchise. However, given the sizes of their contracts, that seems highly unlikely.
