The NBA league office has fined Phoenix Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe $10,000 for a Sunday afternoon Oct. 23 tweet, which virtually spelled the end of his tenure with the team, according to AZCentral.com via ESPN.

While the fine had not been announced as of Monday, it was then mentioned by general manager Ryan McDonough, who didn't comment further on the issue.

Eric Bledsoe was sent home from practice after tweeting “I don't wanna be here.” Bledsoe's explanation that he was tweeting about his desire to leave a hair salon, one which McDonough didn't buy, shunning him from the team moving forward.

Teammate Jared Dudley was understanding of the fine, claiming the NBA is watching what the players do just as much as the front office.

“The league doesn't want to set a precedent of players going off on social media,” Dudley said. “If you ask [Bledsoe], he probably regrets doing that. He probably would have done something in a different manner.”

“I just think in general you can't even demand a trade when you're doing interviews. Just keep it more in house.”

The 6-foot-1 point man has been keeping in shape in college campuses, all while collecting an extra $82,000 per day for every extra day he is away from the Suns.
