Erik Spoelstra and his Miami Heat fell to Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns, 110-100, on Tuesday as their losing streak continues.

The game was out of reach throughout, as Deandre Ayton led the way for the Suns with 17 points, 16 rebounds and three assists. The Heat, meanwhile, were carried by Bam Adebayo’s 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

When asked after the game about Monty Williams' team, Spoelstra only had five words to say.

Spoelstra, who has coached the Heat for 11 seasons now, has seen the worst compared to what’s going on with Miami right now. But if there’s one thing the team wants more than ever this year, it’s to defend their Eastern Conference championship. Their season has been up and down so far, and Coach Spo's squad currently finds itself sixth in the Eastern Conference standings.

As for the Suns, everything looks bright in the Valley. After defeating the depleted Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, they hold the second best record in the Western Conference—just behind the Utah Jazz. Led by Point God Chris Paul, Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton, Phoenix is indeed having their best season in years.

Sports analysts like ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins have already claimed that Phoenix is already a title contender this season. Just like what Spoelstra said, the team has truly become elite.

Both teams will see each other again on April 13. The Heat, who are currently making headlines prior to the trade deadline, need to stop their losing streak in order to climb the standings. The Suns, meanwhile, have to continue their winning ways for them to stay afloat in the competitive Western Conference.
