Phoenix Suns general manager Ryan McDonough isn't rushing what once seemed like an imminent trade for estranged point guard Eric Bledsoe, after sending him home from a Monday practice last week amid his Twitter comments about the team.

According to Scott Bordow of The Arizona Republic, it’s been speculated that the Suns could wait until Dec. 15, when players who signed as free agents in the offseason are eligible to be traded.

“We are open to doing a deal whenever the best offer presents itself,” McDonough said. “Any other comments or thoughts from me would be pure speculation at this point.”

Teams like the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Milwaukee Bucks, and the L.A. Clippers have been known to express interest in the dynamic 6-foot-1 guard, but the Suns' price tag for Eric Bledsoe has been much higher than bidders expected.

McDonough is reportedly seeking a young point guard to fill in for Bledsoe, along with a key role player and/or draft pick in compensation.

Eric Bledsoe is coming off a career year, which was cut short when former head coach Earl Watson sat his veteran starters for the remainder of the season, making room for the young players (and racking up those prized end-of-season losses to boot).

The Kentucky product has expressed his discontent with the organization and requested a trade prior to the start of the season. It's believed that regardless of the wait, Bledsoe has played his last game in a Suns jersey.
